Floralia is an ancient Roman festival dedicated to Flora, the Goddess of flowers. This vibrant celebration honored the arrival of spring, symbolizing rebirth, renewal, and fertility. Traditionally held from late April through early May, Floralia marked a time of blossoming nature and agricultural abundance. The festival included floral decorations, games, theatrical performances, and rituals intended to invoke the goddess’s blessings for a fruitful season. All of my life I had a fascination with flowers, plant-life and all things pertaining to it. Although I grew up in New York city, I was born on a small island.
